Domestic and international visitors gathered to discover the latest products, services and techniques presented by exhibitors from China, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Lithuania, Morocco, Taiwan, Thailand, and the USt[1]. Compared to 2024, overseas exhibitors increased from 56 to 98 (+75%), emphasising the growing global significance of the show. Moreover, returning pavilions from China, Korea and first-time Morocco added to the international appeal, with overseas exhibitors eagerly negotiating with visitors to secure sales channels to enter the Japanese market.
Expanded sourcing opportunities – now 12 product zones
To make sourcing more convenient, the venue comprised 12 product zones. These included three new zones, namely Clinic Care exclusively for medical professionals; Fitness + Beauty showcasing products and services for fitness and healthcare; and the inaugural Osaka Nail Forum held concurrently. Exhibiting at Fitness & Beauty, Mr Yuta Fukushima, Senior Manager at Setsu Planning Co., Ltd., stated: “This is our debut at the show. The reason we participated is to introduce new products for beauty salon owners. We offer exclusive, original products, only available from us. We have had a very positive response from customers – we have already secured approximately 150 leads, and we anticipate closing around 40 deals.”
Mr Tomohiro Gombi, Representative Director of ONLYPRODUCTS. co. ltd, who showcased five brands in the Hair zone, stated: “We consider Beautyworld Japan to be the most influential trade fair in the beauty sector. Including the five brands we exhibited now at Beautyworld Japan Osaka, we have achieved results that surpassed our previous participation. Next year, we plan to exhibit at all four Beautyworld Japan fairs.”
Regular visitor Ms Mutsumi Tabuchi, who has run the aesthetic salon ‘WISH’ for over 20 years, shared her feedback: “I have attended Beautyworld Japan Osaka since its first edition, to gather information and source products for the beauty industry. Each time, I can procure new products and gain insights into the entire beauty sector. I always look forward to this fair.”
Fringe programme with added value
Beautyworld Japan Osaka provided multiple opportunities for in-depth education relating to the latest services and techniques for industry professionals, as well as updating management skills for salon owners. Over the course of three days, the fair held 42 fringe events at five stages onsite: the Association Seminar; the Esthetic Stage; the Hair & Nail Stage; the newly created Clinic Care Specialist Seminar Area; and the Fitness + Beauty Workshop Area.
The style seminars attracted large audiences of enthusiastic business owners and industry professionals, reflecting keen interest in the latest trends and techniques. Mr Kenji Ohsako, a hair salon ‘cafika’ owner and hair stylist, commented: “The seminar that I was eager to attend demonstrated hairstyles that looked incredibly stylish. Those techniques are not difficult to adapt, so I will add them to our menu immediately.”
Furthermore, various business-focused seminars offered practical management insights, consumer trends, and trading opportunities across the industry, drawing engaged audiences of managers taking notes of presentation materials and speakers’ insights.
